A Bit of Fun

From the outside, the barn did not look too spooky,

at least not until the orange glow spilled from the windows.

From inside came sounds of great merriment, and peeking through the window I saw lots of familiar faces.

There were Maid Marian and Robin in from Sherwood Forest

and Captain Hook looking jovial for a change.

All the way from Egypt came Cleopatra and her escort

and from Chicago’s underworld this mobster and his doll.

Dorothy and friends from Oz got into the act

and electrifying the crowd a socket and plug.

Even white trash was allowed through the door,

original for sure.

Thank goodness there’s a little Peter Pan in all of us, meaning you’re never too old to have a bit of fun!!

Joining Seasonal Sundays to find out what’s going on there.
