Lulu’s Musings….

Leaves are raining down these days,

landing on the water where they move gently, drifting to who knows where,

 multiplying on the ground where they crunch and crumble underfoot. 

Hydrangea trees are becoming naked after being dressed in fall shades of white and pink.

Belties more often are found lying on the ground anticipating, perhaps, the coming of rain or snow.

The days are growing shorter and sunsets are hauntingly dramatic.

The neighborhood lobster shack is done for the season.

At the house, porch furniture is under wraps,

shades are drawn making everything dark and empty feeling.

Bags are packed, ready to go meaning it’s time to return to Houston where life will be oh so different, not in a bad way, just different.  If there is something you’d like to know about this big, full of energy, diverse city, do let me know.  In the meantime, my eyes will be open.
