Everyday Tables

When sunflowers are on the table they are a signal that fall is not far behind.

With that in mind, I let go of summer pastels and went to warmer colors.

I had all but forgotten these plates from Dollar Tree. They couldn’t be more perfect for repeating the colors of the sunflowers and the runner. Finding them is what I call a happy accident!

All I can say about the napkins is they are the right color. To minimize the pattern, I made them into a pocket into which the flatware could be tucked. That is a very easy fold and one that works for any setting.

Finishing the table, glasses with images and text in the same colors and mini Mason jars for a cold soup were added.

Girlfriends are coming for lunch, and the table strikes me as having the same kind of happy as our being together will have. You can’t ask for more than that!
