This trip has been all about my granddaughter. Spain is where she chose to go to celebrate her graduation from high school and what we have done are the things that were on her wish list.

One wish was to see a castle. I didn’t know how to make that happen, but Liam at Kensington Tours did, and that is how we got to Segovia and a castle that is the stuff of fairy tales. In fact, the Alcazar of Segovia inspired Walt Disney’s creation of Cinderella’s castle.

The castle is turrets

and stained glass

and textures

and reminders of how battles were fought centuries ago.

It is tapestries woven of fine threads and telling stories that may otherwise not be recorded.

It is sculpted gardens

and views to a multicolored landscape.

While the castle is awe inspiring, what was best was sharing it with those I love. That is something to be cherished.
How wonderful and special Lulu! Wonderful!
Wow, a real castle, you are a Fairy Grandmother! Thanks for sharing parts of your fabulous trip!

There was a time when the girls thought I was a fairy godmother. I always liked that!
Linda, I have enjoyed arm chair travel wit( you and what a wonderful gift to your granddaughter. Each post has been delightful!
One day you will do the same for your princesses.
How wonderful to share your granddaughter’s dreams!
How gorgeous! I love the view from the window, looking across the landscape. I’m glad you all had a wonderful time in Spain.
Absolutely stunning photography. All of “your girls” are beautiful and appear to have your zest for life. In my next life, I’d like you to adopt me😉
Oh, Linda! What a fabulous graduation gift. I’ll bet it was so much fun for the girls. Only you could make that wish come true. You are very special to so many.
A trip you and the girls will remember for a lifetime. How wonderful!
Loved this. We are excited about spending a month in Segovia. Please send restaurant or other recommendations. Kathleen
