If you really want to make a friend, go to someone’s house and eat with him…the people who give you their food give you their heart.

There is something very special about sharing food with friends, and I am so appreciative of those who invite us to their table.

I enjoy a comfortable setting that invites with its simplicity,

one that is warmed by flowers, perhaps from the garden, and candlelight.

I appreciate the effort that goes into the food preparation, but no matter what is served what I enjoy most is the time with friends, the laughter and stories we share.

We will gather round this table again though in a different house.  The space may be different, but one thing that won’t change are the friends who give with their heart.
