No matter what the style, I love going to a home that says come on in and stay awhile.
The second I saw the rockers on the front porch of this country home I wanted to be right there with a Jodi Picoult novel and a big glass of sweet tea.
Inside is just as inviting. I love the vignettes,
each one created to perfection with objects that have been lovingly collected.
It’s easy to see from her collections what catches the owners eye. I love the red transferware
and would take any of the things here. If the bottles were empty, you can bet I would be filling them with wildflowers.
Speaking of wildflowers, the watercolor above this charming setting perfectly captures the colors outside the windows this time of year.
The kitchen invites you to linger and have just one more cup of morning coffee.
It’s fun just sitting at the table studying the collection of tins.
The blue door in the living room reminds me of the Olson House in Maine which was subject for many Andrew Wyeth paintings.
Yes, I could stay here for a while, and when the day is done I can think of nothing more pleasant than snuggling right here and listening to the night sounds of the country.
i so appreciate your visit and the comments you leave behind

So glad you enjoyed my historic home tour!
This is the sweetest home! So inviting and full of charm! Would love for you to come share at Amaze Me Monday!
A very inviting front entrance to an adorable home. I see so many things that I love, the hutch filled with transferware makes a cozy kitchen. Love those cabinets with the glass, and oh wow, the blue! I would love to have a glass of sweet tea there with y’all!
Love that cute house. Makes me want to go and spend some time there 🙂
I’ll see if I can make arrangements. I know the owner!!
What a charming home! I could happily move right in and feel so cozy.
Susan and Bentley
Thanks, it is a comfy, cozy place to spend time and reading on the front porch is the best.
Hey there, Linda! My sister would feel right at home here, too. She is a country gal through and through! She lives on a farm in Minnesota with horses, a pig, a donkey, and Lord-only-knows what else! She would fit right in here!!!
I LOVE those red shutters in the bedroom and those glass-face cabinets in the kitchen!!!!!!
Your sister, my daughter. She always loved going here.
Hi Linda.. I inherited a red transfer hunting dinner service like the one on that dresser.. you’ll have to come for an Aussie lamb roast served on it soon?.. Thanks for the tour of this home.. lovely to see .. hugs j
Now, wouldn’t I love to share lamb with you. Maybe that day will come.
I could move in and be quite happy. I really love everything about this house.
I’m sure the owner will be most appreciative of your comment. Thanks!
I enjoyed this tour, Lulu! What a cozy home and every piece says so much about the owners. Very warm and inviting. I love the glass cabinets in the kitchen with all that comfort food inside showing!
Glad you enjoyed the visit. It would be great to sit with you on the front porch and visit.
Cute house…was it part of a home tour?
No, a friend’s farmhouse.
It is really cute.
What an absolutely warm and inviting home! I’d love to spend some time there myself!
Thanks so much for joining in this week!
Really nice! Visiting from MHC.
