Easter partyThe party started smaller.  It was a spring gathering for folks who’ve known each other for ages, a fun way for us to stay in touch.  These days it has grown as the party now crosses generations with our children coming with their children.  It is one of those times that is so special thanks to the thoughtful generosity of our hosts.

There is entertainment for young and old(er).  This duo, Trout Fishing in America belting out songs like Pico de Gallo or My Hair Had A Party Last Night,  is one of my favorites.

The cake pops are a big hit, and I love their presentation.  The trick:  styrofoam blocks in the bottom of the container are covered with colorful grass which makes it real easy to stick the pops in and have them stay upright.  I’m going to remember that if/when I ever make cake pops!

Easter partyNo question about it, this is one swell party….even the Easter Bunny checks it out and gives it a thumbs up.  Some folks just know how to do it right and make life a little more fun for the rest of us.

  1. I love to see this! Folks getting together and just having a great time, sharing, enjoying one another’s company…just the way it should be! I wonder what would happen if we were to move this concept to Capitol Hill? 🙂 Happy Easter, Linda!

  2. Looks like a wonderful party! Your hosts do go all out, that is for sure!
I have been in the kitchen cooking for 2 days, and I am still not done!
    Have a wonderful Easter!

    1. Luckily, the daughters have taken over all but one of the holidays so all I’m doing is cupcakes and a salad. I don’t even have to set the table!

  3. I am behind commenting on your blog posts. You are so fast! Having been out of town, redoing my master bath and other life issues I am so behind.

Your Easter party looks like such a festive affair. A very cute Easter bunny and delicious food. I recognize your grandson I think. Glad you had a great time.

You make my day with your comments
