Yard sale, garage sale, estate sale….call it what you will, they are great fun whether you are looking or selling.
One clever photographer has even found sales interesting enough to fill a whole book.
Now, who would have thought that photos like this
or this would be subject matter, but done well all things can be interesting.
Until I saw this book, I never thought about taking pictures of my garage sale, and there have been many! Hmmm, today that’s going to change.
OK, here’s all the stuff for today’s sale….amazing how much there is.
I guess if I’m going to take pictures a little separating and organizing would be good. Let’s see, clothes here,
books here,
household items here.
Oh heck, this is getting to be too much of a challenge. The rest can fall where it may.
What do you think….possibilities here for my very own book? Or maybe I shouldn’t worry about the book and just hope someone comes along to buy all this stuff! See anything you like?

This reminds me of the Seinfeld episode…a cocktail table book on cocktail tables :). We have a second home that is in an area that has the most AMAZING tag/yard sales you can imagine. In the Spring it’s like a ritual where there’s about 4 or 5 of us that pile into a car and leave at the crack of dawn. We laugh because we’re always saying what we’re buying will end up at our next garage sale soon! It’s the thrill of the hunt, don’t you think?

A book on yard sales…how clever…boy, how we accumulate so much “stuff”…it is such a great feeling to purge and then we have room for more stuff!!…Hope you had a great sale!
I always wish I had some of my treasures back after I sell them. If I had photos of them, I would miss them all the more. Good luck with your sale.
