Driving around, visiting friends….there’s so much to see this time of year.
or out, the holiday season is a time when creativity abounds.
Doorways are draped with greenery,
ribbons and balls that warmly welcome and seem to say, “Come on in”.
Gates are festive with great big bows,
some so colorful and fun they make you smile.
Mantels sparkle with glittering gold
while other surfaces are simple, not so bold but exuding good cheer.
Santa’s wearing a cheery smile, making a list and checking it twice, determining who’s naughty or nice. Where is your name on his list and does he know your special holiday wish?
i so enjoy your visit and the comments you leave behind

Meant to wish you a wonderful Christmas, Linda. I miss having your blog come in my mail inbox. I had to let my subscriptions go because of computer issues. Hope to resolve those soon.
Merry Christmas. Bonnie
Thank you, Bonnie, and a Merry Christmas to you and yours as well.
What a festive tour of holiday scenes. It is a wonderful time of the year. Enjoyable pics.
Wow, your mantel and your garland on the hutch are just stunning! I love the fun images you captured. Those alligators are fabulous. What beautiful doors. I love that you took us with you – everything was just stunning.
So much inspiration and ideas! Thanks for sharing!…Christine
Thank you Christine. I always appreciate your visit.
Fabulous decor….loved them all from inside to out…and gotta tell ya…I am a Gator fan and love those Santa Gators!!!
I’m just glad the gators weren’t blue and orange!
Hey those gators are perfect for any Miami, Florida doorstep this time of year
Yes, and if you are a Seminole fan, they’d have a spear sticking out of their back.
Lulu…I have been unable to comment…I keep getting asked for my email address even though I have typed it in. Not sure what to do. Has this happened to anyone else?
XO, Jane
Hmmm, not sure what the problem is. Are you by any chance using an iPad? Sometimes I have a problem commenting when I use mine.
I loved all the decorations…some people are so creative. A fun post!
I’m happy that it will be other people putting them up when the season is over!
It must be lovely to wander around town and see such fun and creative decorations – the corcodiles had me giggling !
You should have seen me when I spotted them. I did a u-turn to go back for a second look.
I’m sure I would have done the same 🙂
These are some WONDERFUL examples of all the holiday decor around town! Wow…makes me want to go out and photograph some of the cool stuff I’ve seen around here! We have some very creative neighbors, although I have noticed that fewer people have outdoor Christmas displays this year. Probably has something to do with the economy. Ramon was determined that come hell or high water we were going to have lights and wreaths!!! He loves doing the outside!
I think it’s pretty common knowledge that I am on Santa’s “Naughty” list! 🙂 What I wish for this year more than anything is that our nation can heal and get back on track. I think that would really help with a lot of people’s moods.
Yep, naughty is what you are in the best kind of way! If your hubby likes doing Christmas lights, you are luckier than most of us.
