Over night it seems that day becomes shorter,
sunsets are flecked with intense color,
except for the dahlias that, as my daughter would say, are brave and outspoken.
Leaves go from moody green/black to having hints of color,
blueberry fields change from this
is replaced with the warm colors of pumpkins and gourds.
While I regret the passing of an all too short summer, I welcome the promise of fall, its colors and smells.
Joining Outdoor Wednesday, Watery Wednesday
Here’s to the “brave and outspoken” dahlias! (That’s a description with panache!)
WATER
Water in a drop of rain,
Water swirling down the drain;
Water clinging to the trees,
Water filling up the seas;
Water frozen, water free,
Water is the stuff for me!

Thanks for the beautiful pictures! I’ve never seen a blueberry bush myself and had no idea they changed colour like that in the all, and that dahlia is amazing!
Blueberry plants go red? Gourds can be blue? Wow, I have lots and lots to learn. What an amazing sequence of photos and how brilliantly one leads to another.
That Dahlia is downright flirtatious! Well, if you got it, flaunt it right?
I think that Autumn colours are Nature’s Grand Ball and Party before settling down into the serious business of a long winter, Nature Party clothes are amazing!
Wow so pretty out there…Happy WW!
Fall is my favorite time of year! It will be several weeks before we have glimpses of your glorious color! Your blueberry fields are delicious 🙂
