What Better Place to Be?

On a beautiful summer Sunday, what better place to be than on the water?

Some will cruise on the bay in a schooner with sails unfurled.

Others, more energetic, will kayak among the islands

or row in the harbor.

And, there are those who will find a beautiful spot, not hard on the coast of Maine, to anchor and picnic, read or take a snooze.

No matter where they are or what boat they are in, all will agree there’s no better place to be!

Tell me, what is your favorite thing to do on a summer Sunday?

  1. All these water-ways look like here! Only we are on the opposite coast -Seattle area 🙂 It is fun to have so much water around. Great post!

  2. The kiddos and I had summer boating as well! Only me and one kiddo at a time for the tiny boat can only hold two persons. But the entire family had a blast with banana boat 🙂

  3. I only tried kayaking once but enjoyed it very much! It is a peaceful way to spend a few hours . Happy Outdoor Wednesday!

  4. The Maine coast is indeed a lovely place to spend a summer day. We have visited twice and I wish it weren’t so far away or I would visit again.

    1. Hopefully, that will happen.

  5. Oh, I couldn’t agree more!!!! I am so blessed to spend my summers on the ater and so totally agree. There is something for everyone, but it is all magnificent.

Thanks for being a part of Seasonal Sundays.

  6. I love all your photographs, any craft on the water is my idea of a pleasant way to spend a summer afternoon. Mine are usually spending time with family and or friends. Thanks for sharing.
