In the Pink

Here you will find a blog post by a gal who really likes pink.  I know this to be true because she is my daughter, and she is making up for being pink deprived as a child.  She ends her post by asking if pink can be found in your house.

I would have thought my answer to be no, at least for the most part, but take a look around and you will see pink, not the soft, pretty pink but PINK!

Pink is the sofa in the breakfast room,

the handwoven pillow

and throw in the living room

the ceiling that runs the length of the gallery

and the cabinet over my desk.

Pink is in this painting that has such a story to tell,  in the funky pottery piece that sits close by

and in my favorite needlepoint rugs.

It is on and below the piano.

Yes, there is quite a lot of pink in my house and you know what?  I like it!

What are your feelings about pink?

i love your comments, so jump right in and share your thoughts

    1. I love color, Jeanne, and find every excuse to use as much as possible without it getting crazy!

  5. Your pinks are really very outstanding. I love the piece under the piano. and the couch and the ceiling and the piece over your desk. Wow. I have walked through our home. I have one needlepoint pillow that has a few bits of pink in it. And that is it. Totally embarrassing, isn’t it?

    1. But I bet you have another color that shows up again and again.

  6. Any shade of pink is perfect! I loved your shelf!

  9. Oh, forgot to say: I went on a tour at Bayou Bend today and saw a drapery treatment in peacock and cream. To myself I said, “I need this in my parlor in soft pink and cream.”
Coming soon to my house, pink!

  10. I want the crazy quilt in the breakfast room.

  11. I like the color pink, but I really don’t have much at all in my house. Now your sofa…that is a lot of pink! It is very pretty and you have to have just the right place for it!

    1. You are right….the sofa is a lot of pink, and it has been surprising how many different color schemes it has worked with.

  12. Happy Pink Saturday, Lulu.

Girl, you know I love pink, and just look at all of your bright and pretty pinks. I love it all – especially the needlepoint rug.

Well… I have a few pink pig things:@) Your sofa is fun and I love the cabinet-enjoy!

    1. And how I enjoy all your little piggies!

  14. Look at you with all those pink accents! A brighter version, but still PINK! I actually didn’t think I had much pink outside of the girls’ rooms until I hunted for it with my camera. More pink than I would’ve guessed in BOTH of our houses! Xo!
