It Happens Overnight

Spring is nature’s way of saying, “Let’s party!”

Robin Williams

Overnight, or so it seems, we have gone from this to hints of spring.

Under a clear blue sky and with mild temperatures

flowering trees have awoken,

daffodils are smiling,

newly planted flowers reach their faces to the sun

while others wait to be planted in the cool ground.

Butterflies are free

and robins stop on their way to somewhere for lunch.

With all that promise , these leftovers from a winter freeze seem sadly out of place and challenge me to go to the nursery to begin collecting my own colors of spring.

What promise of spring do you see wherever you are today?

i love your thoughts, so jump right in and share yours

  1. The crocuses are just coming up and the birds are starting to sing. Sigh of relief. 🙂

  3. well..the last of our ice and snow just melted two days ago…but the sun has shown the last two days:) and when I was walking last week I did see tiny tiny buds on a couple of trees. A little early yet for MO but soon..soon

    1. It’s the bird songs that make me know spring is right around the corner.

  4. Similar signs seen here, trees in bloom everywhere, yellow, pink and white, daffodils straightening and brightening, new growth on trees, garden calling my name in vain.

  5. There is no winter in here so we’re missing the magical moments of spring. Love those photos! 🙂
