OK, I confess, this Sunday afternoon I will be watching the Super Bowl, the whole thing from Christina Aguilera singing the national anthem to the anticipated commercials to the talking heads afterwards analyzing the game.   After all, this game has to last us til August when preseason and college football start up again and the commercials give us something to talk about at coffee break!

It’s the Steelers

against the Packers.

Are you watching? Who are you going to root for?

Close call, but since the Steelers represent the AFC, the same league as the lowly Houston Texans, I guess I’ll have to go with the yellow and black.

i love your comments, so jump right in and share yours

  1. Sorry Linda, Yellow Green…I grew up in Wisconsin. Did you know that the Packers are the only team in the NFL owned by the fans! I’m going to send you another reason via email. Show it to Phil.

  2. Dh is watching, not me! It will be late when it is over here.
My best friend from college is a Steeler fan, big time. We went to school near Pitts., but she is from NJ, and still lives there. Have no idea why she is for them!
She wanted me to fly with her to Arlington, I could visit my sis and she could go to the parties, LOL That would be a no. I have never been to TX. Prob never will!
BTW, it wasn’t just the airport that were a mess. I am sure you saw how 6 people were injured, one very seriously , by falling ice from the stadium roof.
Now I read there was a problem with some of the seats and lots of people out in the not so cold!

    1. Yep, all did not go so well in Dallas prior to the game.
You know, Texas isn’t so bad…you might like it. If you ever make it come in the winter and take a side trip to Houston.

  3. Can you believe that this daughter of yours didn’t even watch? But I did prepare a Super Bowl feast: fall-off-the-bone ribs and grit souffle with a reserve Petite Sirah. Better than any Super Bowl! Wink!

    1. I didn’t watch the superbowl either:( I went blog visiting instead. I’ve been sick with something so I have been laying around most of the weekend.
I always enjoy the commercials and entertainment too:) always my favorite part.
      hope you had fun!!

  4. Since my initial debate on this topic was ” Does Super Bowl mean is it a hockey game or American football one?” you will not be surprised to know that I am probably the least qualified person on the planet to have an opinion on who to cheer for LOL.
May the best team on the day… win!

  5. Being true cheeseheads, we were of course for the Packers. Tom got so riled during the second half that I made him take an aspirin for his heart!! I always like the ads better than the game, and (showing my age) especially liked the clydesdale one that was a take off on Lassie, “Timmy’s fallen in the well.”
Our friend, Mr. Jones, is going to have to eat his attempt at cramming 1000 more people into the stadium. Can’t imagine getting there to find out my ticket wasn’t useable!

You make my day with your comments
